SIMS Single Sign On Implementation

WHAT’S NEW?

Starting on 14th July 2025, when you sign-in to the Student Information Management system (SIMS) application you will need to use your NBCC IT Account login (e.g.: jane.doe@nbcc.ca for staff and jdoe01@mynbcc.ca for students).

This change is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance security and simplify access which means one less password to remember and a more secure and seamless login experience.

· Who: Staff and students in all locations

· What: SIMS login is now via Single Sign-On (SSO) with MFA using your NBCC IT Account, just like other NBCC systems

· When: From July 14 onwards

· Where: On SIMS login page

· Why: To make sign-in easier and safer for everyone

WHO’S IMPACTED?

All SIMS users — including staff and students across all campuses — will need to log in using their NBCC IT Account and verify identity using Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), just like with other NBCC systems.
